E-32. The target acquisition capabilities of the BFV exceed the capability of the other systems in the Infantry battalion. The thermal sight provides a significant capability for observation and reconnaissance. It also can be used during the day to identify heat sources (personnel and vehicles) even through light vegetation. Many models of the BFV are equipped with the latest Mission Command Systems, while others are still equipped with the outdated systems.
