E-92. The company commander has the option of placing one or more Infantry squads under the operational control of the combat vehicle platoon leader. This provides the company commander with a fourth maneuver platoon. It also involves the combat vehicle platoon leader in the fight. It can work well when a mobile reserve needs Infantry protection is required.
